Centennial Park is one of Nashville's premier urban parks, featuring a stunning full-scale replica of the ancient Greek Parthenon.

History

The park was created for the 1897 Tennessee Centennial Exposition. The Parthenon was built as the centerpiece of the exposition and was so beloved that it was later rebuilt as a permanent structure. It now functions as an art museum, home to a 42-foot statue of Athena.

What to Know

The park is free to enter and features a one-mile walking trail, Lake Watauga, and beautiful gardens. There is a fee to enter the Parthenon museum. It's a great spot for a relaxing afternoon.
